I'm a Sr. Brand Designer / Art Director with 15 years building brands — from foundational identity systems to the campaigns, marketing, and visual work that bring them to life. I've done this across agencies, startups, and in-house teams.

I’m an avid soccer and basketball fan, a late night home chef, a vintage jersey collector, a husband, a father, an occasional surfer, a hopeful traveler and a chocolate lab owner (the dog not like Wonka). I love photography, architecture, interior design and well, basically any form of art. I’m constantly inspired by the things around me and typically carry this into my day to day work. Lately I’ve been finding it nice to build art with my hands, something very nice about switching between the digital and the analog. There are definitely parallels and it’s been helping me to stay creative and inspired.

I live in Moxee, Washington - if you’re unfamiliar, the best way I can explain it is: a two and a half hour drive away from the bustling Seattle, through a beautiful mountain range, and you arrive.

We all love a good story. A way to make something feel magical. A good story transcend verticals, roles, products, everything. A commonality that unites us all.

I think that sometimes we’re afraid (or maybe hesitant), to romanticize products, softwares, and any kind of tech offerings. In my experience, there’s always a story to it, worth building on and shaping a brand around.

It’s what makes things memorable, attention grabbing, successful, and well, just plain cool.

This has always been my favorite part of creative work. I’ve done art direction at agencies, design work at startups, pitches on in-house teams, and most things in between. The common thread has always been, striking the right balance of storytelling, good fast design, and putting in the time to understand the audience.

We’re living in the Wild West of creative work. Roles are melding together, tools are emerging by the hour, and AI is flipping it all on its side. I think it’s very important to be well rounded, wear many hats, try those new tools and use AI to make it all come together in a way that lets you work even more efficiently.

I believe that branding, design and marketing are opportunities to tell good stories. Intertwined with visuals that make you feel something, words that make you act, and communications that reach you at the right moments in time. When done right of course.
